Hi Elisabeth, there are only a few of us playing regularly in Scotland, nearest
player to you is not far away in Brechin the next nearest is Inverness then
Glasgow and my self in the Borders. There are possibly others around but I do
not know of them. The UK group will keep you in touch with what is going on
here and most of Europe. JON

hello everyone,

just joined your group after someone pointed it out to me. i´m very
keen to get involved with some more hurdy gurdy folk. i started
playing when i was 15, have been through a few models and i have
settled with a gotchy renaissance gurdy for the moment. it was always
my secondary instrument as i was always more interested (and skilled)
with whistles and historic bagpipes. i want to take up hurdygurdy more
intensively again. i´m from germany, leipzig. i live and study in
aberdeen, scotland now. anyone else of you up here? life is quite busy
with studies, work and family life. eagerly awaiting some more gurdy
talk though. please excuse my language mistakes :-) haven´t quite
figured out how to work this "google-group" thing yet either. my pc
mixes it all up - half german half english.

looking forward to get to know you, elisabeth
