I find this kind of a wierd posting. The lister is probably an antique
dealer or antique instrument dealer of some kind, he/she has had 4093 ebay
listings in 11 years. For having never seen a 'gurdy before, he/she seems to
know a little (not much but a little) about it. For example, in my
experience, most 'civilians' call the crank "a handle" but the seller is
familiar enough with the instrument to call it a crank. And the whole
nobody knows how to play one now, but a little later says, if you want to
play it you would need a luthier.

I dont think its a scam, but it seems just a little odd.

derek
