Hello Sasha,

What is the specific problem?

If the string notch got worn, and the sound is harsh due to much
pressure, you may file the notch square, fill with a bit of wood and
white glue or cyanoacrilate-based glue, and cut&file a new notch, a
little restoration.

If the problem is with the foot, sanding slightly the dog with fine
grit paper on a flat surface may help get back the bark...

If the dog does not work, you just can ruin it a bit more trying to
fix it...

Otherwise, and as you have been suggested, find a local builder or ask
your luthier to send some pre-made dogs.

Good luck!
