Hi all, Researching for a completely different application, I came across an interesting product; it is a liquid or spray solution of rubber, used mainly to cover tool handles, etc:
http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip Apart from the common uses for the HG (tangents, drone bridges) I wonder if it could be possible to cover the wheel band. If it worked you could maybe get rid of rosin!. Do you know if this has ever been attempted? It seems the adherence is latex-like and the layer very thin. My doubts are if the grip would be OK, if the layer cpuld be easily removed if damaged or cleaned if dirty, and if the layer would be even so you still get a perfectly circular wheel. Maybe worth a try for you builders out there... Please let us know the results ;-) Kind regards, Oscar. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hurdygurdy" group.
