If you have a number to convert and print out the dots, ABCNavigator will do
the job. As far as I know, it's still free.
Concertina.net is great for the odd file (and makes a PDF file and a midi file
for you to download). The page can be a little difficult to find (at least for
me) so the full url is:
 http://www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html

abcnotation is pretty well the uber site. Chris Walshaw was one of the , if
not the, originators of the abc system, he has more tunes than a million people
could play in several life times.
www.concertina.net has a good online abc convertor. they have a few tunes
also

    derek

    Hi, HG folk,

I finally got an abc notation app for my iPod (Tunebook - $1.99 at the App
Store). I imported a large number of Irish tunes (everything Henrik Norbeck had
on www.norbeck.nu/abc/) and what I have found so far of French tunes. I'm going
to add a personal note to the abc, such as "OTW Dance" for tunes done for the
Over the Water dance, so that I can search them easily. I believe the
header/field letter for that is N, correct?

I got my French tunes by going to abcnotation.com, typing in something like
bransle and grabbing the whole collection it was in. Any other sources you know?

    Thanks,
    Barbara
