Is there an accepted way to play the coups on a three-time bourree, or are there different schools of thought on this? I can't figure out whether I should do the same up-down, down-up (1-3, 3-1, 1-3, 3-1) pattern that's used for waltzes and mazurkas (only faster),

coup de 4 is used, so its one and a half turns per bar, like with waltz (and unlike mazurkas ;-) But the 1-3 pattern is not suiting the three-time bourree. Manny common patterns are two bars long like

1 - 3 - 2 -

1 -&- 1 2 3

1 2 3 1 -&-
