Check out all the out-of-print French trad recordings cropping up on iTunes. Wow! Several recordings have recently appeared there that have been unavailable from any commercial source. Among some of the notables are Rage de Danse by La Chavannee, Musiques Pour Vielle a Roue (and En Bal) by Patrick Bouffard, Accordeon Diatonique by Jean Blanchard, Fai Petar (by the wonderful trio of the same name), Gentiane... Hopefully the list will continue to grow (more La Chavannee, please!). Please patronize these musicians and groups by buying these recordings, and leave ravingly positive comments. I will make adjustments to my frenchtradmusic.com website shortly to take the commercially available recordings off my list of bootlegs, and provide easy links (with my reviews) for getting this stuff from iTunes or auvergnediffusion.fr (the latter for those who still like their CDs recorded onto CD).
