Hi Barbara -

Best that you buy it from Auvergne Diffusion then, which is the website in
France that handles current AMTA recordings. The cost is 15 Euros plus
shipping. The shipping isn't too bad as I recall. Here is the link:

 (ht

One of the clumsy things about Auvergne Diffusion, whose purpose is to make
AMTA and other French trad label recordings available to a wider audience,
is that you can't use their website shopping cart to order from the US or
Canada...or even the UK, if I remember right. So in order to place your
order, you'll need to email them (the fellow's name is Marien, and the email
address is [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) ).
You'll also have to provide a Visa card number (Carte Bleu is how it's
known there) and the associated date and code. The way I've handled that is to
send the card number in a couple of different emails and the security code
in a third email.

It would have been nice if they had gotten the website to work for orders
outside continental Europe, but that's the way it goes. And no, you can't
use PayPal. Don't get me started on the subject of inadequate availability
and inadequate marketing of French trad recordings...But this will work, and
you'll get your recording as a proper CD, presumably with a fat little
booklet of lyrics.

Either that or ask a French friend to buy it for you, mail it to you, and
get repaid via PayPal.

p.s. I bought the new La Chavannee Christmas album via iTunes last month,
and had I the time to wait for it (I wanted to listen to it over the
holidays), I'd have spent the extra money and gotten it from Auvergne
Diffusion.
Wonderful music but no lyric booklet..

.

Hi Barbara,

Some albums on iTunes do include liner notes, but most do not. This one
does not have them with it.

No idea where to get the notes, but if you need them, the iTunes version
probably won't do it for you.

Hi, folks,

I am on the verge of buying an itunes album, but I need written lyrics. I
haven't bought an entire album there before. Does one get the notes, or is
there another source readily available to us in the US?
