Good for you!  it´s manifest that people can find inspiration in all things!

You are right about the trompette, I have the same impression. And it does
sound good in (death/pagan/viking/whatever) metal. If you think of it, with
some HG-players who abuse of the trompette, it´s sounds like a kind of
folk "blast beat" :)
