Cali, Just one observation from my limited perspective as one who has never participated in OTW (in part for the reasons I'll describe here).
I have always been involved in academic communities where September is perhaps the worst possible time of the year for participation in anything outside of the local area. I don't know how many of our community are academics, but if the festival could happen over the summer, I think more of that group could participate. For those with children in school, there are similar constraints (although summers may not be any better.) Also, if you want to pick up participation from Europeans (I don't know if that is a goal or not), keep in mind that July and August are the traditional vacation times there. -Arle On Apr 25, 2011, at 15:22 , Cali Hackmann wrote: > Hello fellow gurdy enthusiasts, > > Due to the economy and other factors the 2010 festival left OTW in the > red.
