Whirling Pope Joan is Nigel Eaton and Julie Murphy. It turns out that Sept Marins (7 sailors) is a Breton tune and based around a Hanter Dro. I still don't know of its origin but I am sure that will come later. You can find the tune and many other really nice tunes on their album Spin.
