Hi James
Well, in terms of tuning I meant tweaking the tangents so they sound
'right' in non-diatonic scales. Melissa or someone who plays
middle-eastern music would know more about that.
meanwhile my son the music student came home from university yesterday,
had a go on the new instrument, and commented 'mmm. ..D mixolydian (with
flattened seventh)...interesting tuning'. What are my options here: a) OK
kid, you know more than I do, better take over b)stop showing up your
mother already!!! c) see if we can work out a common repertoire (he plays
mostly British tunes on mondola and guitar)
Suggestions please...
Clare
