There is a book set that has a full set of plans, full descriptions of bridge
placement, wood use and grain direction, etc. The drawback is that it is in
French. However, I have found that it is fairly easy to interpret. The book set
is called La Vielle a Roue by Michael Pignol and is about $75. Full sized plans
are included.

There is a free website relating to the book at http://vielleroue.free.fr/
