Hey there!

A while ago I noticed that there are some folk metal enthusiasts among the
hurdy gurdy guild here on googlegroups, so I thought I would let you know
that my band (Mlë!! <https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ml%C3%AB/354861810586>)
has just released a demo recording of four of our songs, one of them (Šürka
je Tisa) featuring the hurdy gurdy prominently. If you are not a fan of
metal, you may also have a listen, but be ready for an energetic breakdown
and some rougher vocals. Though it's not THAT bad =)

This is also an opportunity for you to find out what sound can be achieved
with a homemade gurdy and a home recording. I believe that I've managed to
get a really nice sound out of my "wooden box with strings".

So! Here's the link to the four songs of our demo. We are an energetic
group of people with a new take on the folk metal concept. Our topics and
themes are broader than those of most folk metal bands and Šürka je Tisa
(the song with the HG) is actually one of the few songs which is completely
folkloric in origin (it's from the East of Slovenia, Prekmurje, to be
exact). Enjoy! And those of you who are more of a folkmetalhead, you are
welcome to listen to the other three songs as well. And welcome to become a
fan of our FB page!

P.S. If anyone wants the lyrics or the translation, drop me an e-mail and
I'll send them to you.
