Hi Kim

I play a Chris Allen symphonie - it is fully chromatic over two octaves
and has a trompette. Its many admirers say it looks and sounds wonderful
and it plays like a dream. I play quite a lot of mediaeval music on it,
and it looks the part for this, but I am also able to play later English
music particularly Playford and longsword dance tunes. I would recommend
you consider the more versatile instrument

Rob
