At the beginning of this year I broke 3 fingers (2 left hand and 1 right) and did serious tendon damage to both thumbs. When you are well over 60 it takes forever to heal. Four months of gently playing slowly and I can now play la Marianne again. If you have never been in that situation you cannot believe how frustrating that is. Bourree a Stephane is another story; that sounds like one of my cats being stood on. Its been strange to relearn how to play again, quite funny when you know where your fingers should go but will not. Also when you are that bit older removing a 2,000 pound plus door step from the back door is really silly. JON
