Hi all,

Thought I would share a great opportunity to pick up a full-featured and
innovative HG at a great price. Balázs Nagy has just produced a new style of
instrument with a different sort of lute-shaped body and some nice features
(two buzzing bridges—one Hungarian style and one French style—, capos, three
melody strings, built-in preamp and pick-ups etc.).

His asking price is $2500 (US), which means this is a great opportunity for
someone looking for a nice instrument at a good price with no waiting period.
(For comparison, one of Balázs’ older instruments, with fewer features, was
just on sale for over $3000 on eBay.)

While I've not played this particular instrument, I've played one of Balázs’
instruments as my primary instrument since 2005 and have always been happy with
it. Balázs’ instruments are known for a very robust and bright sound with a
powerful buzzing bridge, so they are great for someone looking to play for
dancers or in situations where you want a strong rhythmic potential.

This is definitely not just a beginner’s instrument (which you would expect for
the price), but one that has a lot of nice features. I'm hoping it goes to a
good home and wish I had some extra money sitting arond now to pick it up for
myself.

Best,

Arle
