Red Hat is pleased to announce an update to the Red Hat v7 hardware test
suite v7-1.3-46 for hardware certification purposes with Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5 and 6.
This updated Red Hat v7 hardware test suite package (v7-1.3-46) is an
official release and supersedes previous versions of v7. Although Red
Hat strongly recommends that this latest version of the v7 hardware test
suite package be used for Red Hat Enterprise Linux certification
submissions, vendors are permitted to use the previous v7 hardware test
suite (v7-1.3-43) for official certifications *already in progress* for
a period of 90 days from this announcement.
The updated Red Hat v7 hardware test suite (v7-1.3-46) package now is
available on the Red Hat Customer Portal (http://access.redhat.com) and
at the following location:

Highlights of the latest version of the v7 hardware test suite
(v7-1.3-46) include:
* A regression included in v7 1.3-43 prevents v7 version information
from being properly captured in the results rpms. By using the updated
v7 hardware test suite (v7-1.3-46), this information is now properly
captured. In addition, to enable official certifications already in
progress with the previous version of the v7 hardware test suite
(v7-1.3-43), the hardware catalog (https://hardware.redhat.com) has been
updated to use a secondary location within v7-1.3-43 results rpms for v7
version information.
* The ExpressCard test will now properly plan and execute on RHEL6(.x).

The v7-1.3-46 hardware test suite package has been verified against
RHEL6 and RHEL5 on the x86, x86_64, ppc64, and s390x architectures. If
you encounter any problems, please file bugs against the 'Red Hat
Hardware Certification Program' product in Red Hat Bugzilla
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com).
