Red Hat is pleased to announce the availability of an updated Red Hat
Hardware Certification Policy Guide (v 6.0-1.0-8) and Red Hat Hardware
Catalog for hardware certification using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6.
Please note that the Red Hat Hardware Certification Policy Guide
(6.0-1.0-8) is an official update to the policy guide and will be
applied to new hardware certifications starting with Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 6.2, which was released for general availability on 06 December 2011.
The Red Hat Hardware Certification Policy Guide (6.0-1.0-8) is available

Highlights of changes made to the Hardware Certification Policy Guide
(6.0-1.0-8) include:
* When a system contains an integrated storage controller and / or an
integrated network adapter, that system must now pass the appropriate
kdump test(s) on all new Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x certifications,
including Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 and 6.1 certifications.
* If kdump testing fails on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 or 6.1, kdump
test results from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 may be used in 6.0 and
6.1 certifications. A knowledge base entry will be added to these
certifications noting that 6.2 is required for kdump. Also note that
kdump test results cannot be leveraged.
Highlights of the Hardware Catalog Update include:
* Support for the v7-1.4 results.xml.gz results file format.
* Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux friendly URLs; for example:
https://hardware.redhat.com/RHEL6
* Other minor bug fixes/features outlined in the change log below.
