Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat Certification 6.6 and its associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days. Packages built for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 are now available on the Customer Portal and can be used for early pre-testing on pre-release builds of RHEL 8. A separate mail will be sent to partners when official certification requests for RHEL 8 can be opened.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ redhat-certification-backend-6.6-20190221.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-6.6-20190221.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-6.6-20190221.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-6.6-20190221.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-6.6-20190221.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-6.6-20190221.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-6.6-20190221.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-6.6-20190221.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-6.6-20190221.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-6.6-20190221.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-6.6-20190209.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-6.6-20190209.el6.noarch.rpm This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: 1. Updates to the Cloud tests when run on pre-releases of RHEL 8 to align with upcoming RHEL 8 certification requirements. Changes to the Supportable test include: * A Software Modules subtest is added as a new subtest * The Filesystem Layout subtest requires a separate /boot partition * Unsupported Hardware subtest fails for logical core sizes of less than 1 GB * The Software Repositories subtest requires both BaseOS and AppStream to be enabled * A Software Containers subtest is added as new subtest * 'Architecture' subtest renamed to 'Hypervisor/Partitioning' and now includes support for additional architectures Changes to the Configuration test include: * The Network Configuration subtest now uses nftables instead of iptables Changes to the Security test include: * The SELinux subtest now strictly enforces SELinux must be running in 'enabled' mode across in all RHEL versions (previously permissive mode was allowed). 2. Updates to the Hardware tests to address issues when the tests are run on pre-releases of RHEL 8. Changes include: * A stack trace is addressed in the fv_realtime test which caused the test to neither pass nor fail * A TypeError: is addressed in the audio test which caused the test to neither pass nor fail when testing HDMI audio * Fixed a bug in planning the RDMA tests where in some instances the IPV6 value was not used correctly when determining the net device associated with the RDMA device. * Fixed the video test to correctly fail if the commands xvinfo, xdriinfo or glxinfo are not installed or fail * Added a delay before restarting iWarp interfaces in the iWarp tests to allow for devices which require a longer shutdown and startup time * A stack trace is fixed in the Wireless tests where parsing fractional packetloss resulted in the test neither passing or failing * Updated the Profiler test to use the perf command instead of the oprofile command. This change is also applies to testing on RHEL 7. 3. Fix for a traceback in Hardware Certification Workflow when using the webUI on the related products tab when accessing certifications with multiple vendor values. The complete changelog for each package may be found on the download page by selecting the package name followed by selecting the ChangeLog tab.
