A new software fingerprinting test is introduced in the Software Certification test suite. The fingerprint test establishes a repeatable way to identify the software being certified. This test is an interactive test that captures information from the system, subtracts the known Red Hat software, and will prompt the user to assist in confirming the remaining is indeed the software being certified. If the incorrect software is identified, it will request the user to provide a method to identify the software properly. 2. The ipxe-rhcert.rpm package is now available in the Red Hat Certification Download channels. This package provides the required UEFI binary for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux hardware certification iPXE test to achieve certification and publication with the iPXE feature in RHEL 8. a. https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/rhel---8/x86_64/8290/ipxe-rhcert/20181214-5.git133f4c47.el8/noarch/fd431d51/package 3. A bug is fixed in the hardware certification suspend test where a traceback may be encountered on RHEL 7 when the mem_sleep file is not present in sysfs. 4. The Red Hat OpenStack Platform test for file storage (manila) plugins now identifies the Driver Handles Shared Server (DHSS) status and sets the pre-provisioned test credentials to prevent test failures in multi-tenant environments. We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership.
