Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat Certification 7.15 and its associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ redhat-certification-backend-7.15-20200805.1.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-baremetal-7.15-20200805.1.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.15-20200805.1.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-sap-7.15-20200805.1.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-7.15-20200805.1.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-7.15-20200805.1.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-7.15-20200805.1.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-software-7.15-20200805.1.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-7.15-20200805.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.15-20200805.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-baremetal-7.15-20200805.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.15-20200805.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-sap-7.15-20200805.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-7.15-20200805.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-7.15-20200805.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-7.15-20200805.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.15-20200805.1.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.15-20200805.1.el6.noarch.rpm This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: 1. Support for additional virtualization features to accompany Red Hat Virtualization 4.4 (RHV 4.4). These hardware certification tests are optional to perform but mandatory to receive the feature listing in the catalog: a. fv_cpu_pinning: This test configures the vCPU of the guest virtual machine and allocates to the CPU of the host physical machine and will add the CPU Pinning feature to the catalog entry. b. fv_network: This test launches the guest virtual machine and runs the network test on a network passthrough device. It verifies that the hardware network device is functioning as expected within the VM and will add Network Hardware Pass-Through feature to the catalog entry. c. fv_pcie_passthrough: This test checks if a PCIe device connected to the host machine can be assigned to appear natively in the guest virtual machine and will add the PCIE Pass-Through feature to the catalog entry. d. fv_storage: This test launches the guest virtual machine and runs the storage test on a storage passthrough device. It verifies that the hardware storage device is functioning as expected within the VM and will add Storage Hardware Pass-Through feature to the catalog entry. e. fv_usb_passthrough: This test checks if a USB device connected to the host machine can be assigned to appear natively in the guest virtual machine and will add the USB Pass-Through feature to the catalog entry. RHV 4.4 is built from RHEL 8, and as a result each of the RHV 4.4 specific tests can be conducted on RHV 4.4 or on RHEL 8. The additional features will be added to RHV certification entries regardless of where the testing was conducted. 2. Corrected a command line prompt where running the "rhcert-cli submit" command would prompt the user to enter their portal ID. This is now corrected to ask for the Certification ID instead. We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership.
