Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat Certification 7.17 and its associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ redhat-certification-backend-7.17-20200916.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-baremetal-7.17-20200916.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.17-20200916.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-sap-7.17-20200916.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-7.17-20200916.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-7.17-20200916.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-7.17-20200916.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-software-7.17-20200916.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-7.17-20200916.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.17-20200916.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-baremetal-7.17-20200916.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.17-20200916.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-sap-7.17-20200916.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-7.17-20200916.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-7.17-20200916.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-7.17-20200916.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.17-20200916.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.17-20200916.el6.noarch.rpm The Red Hat Certification management interface on Red Hat Partner Connect, which is available at https://rhcert.connect.redhat.com, has been updated to use these packages. This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: 1. The Hardware Health subtest is now updated to include a new Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) test. The subtest will now check if SMT is available, enabled, and if so, active in the system. 2. A bug has been fixed in the cpuscaling test where the test would exit with a failure if any core was offline. The test is now updated to run only on the online cores and will show details of both online and offline core upon completion. Please note, the certification test plan may indicate that all cores must be online to receive credit in which case a passing cpuscaling test with offline cores would not qualify for certification credit. 3. A new test called WiFi6 supersedes the Wireless AX test. The WiFi6 test has the same features and functionality as the Wireless AX test and will be planned wherever the Wireless AX test would be planned. The Wireless AX test remains available in the test suite, however it will no longer be planned by default. We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact Ecosystem Partner Management.
