Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat Certification 7.21 and its associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ redhat-certification-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-baremetal-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-sap-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-software-7.21-20201210.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-7.21-20201210.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.21-20201210.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-baremetal-7.21-20201210.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.21-20201210.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-sap-7.21-20201210.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-7.21-20201210.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-7.21-20201210.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-7.21-20201210.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.21-20201210.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.21-20201210.el6.noarch.rpm The Red Hat Certification management interface on Red Hat Partner Connect, which is available at https://rhcert.connect.redhat.com, has been updated to use these packages. This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: 1. The virtualization test planning is corrected to schedule only the combination bus+class tests (e.g. fv_pcie_network_passthrough test) instead of the individual bus tests and individual class tests (e.g. the fv_pcie_passthrough and fv_network_passthrough). The new combination tests were added in the previous update of the test suite. 2. A new virtualization live migration (fv_live_migration) test is introduced in the RHEL 8 hardware certification test suite. This test exercises the ability of the system under test (SUT) to migrate a running virtual machine to another system. Successful completion of this test will add the "Live Migration" feature to the SUT’s RHV 4.4 catalog entry. 3. A command exception bug is fixed in the CPU thread detection parsing code of the Hardware Health subtest. 4. A bug is fixed in the rhcert-cli command where the installation of dependent packages may not be validated before running the test. 5. The kdump test now exits with a REVIEW status and captures the vmcore in the certification results if the correct kernel-debuginfo-* packages cannot be found on the SUT. In this situation, the results package will be significantly larger.. We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact Ecosystem Partner Management. Regards, The Red Hat Certification Team
