Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat Certification 7.24 and its associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ redhat-certification-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-baremetal-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-sap-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-software-7.24-20210217.el8.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-7.24-20210217.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.24-20210217.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-baremetal-7.24-20210217.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.24-20210217.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-sap-7.24-20210217.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-7.24-20210217.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-hardware-preview-7.24-20210217.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-7.24-20210217.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-7.24-20210217.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-7.24-20210217.el6.noarch.rpm The Red Hat Certification management interface on Red Hat Partner Connect, which is available at https://rhcert.connect.redhat.com, has been updated to use these packages. This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: 1. A bug is now fixed that incorrectly prompted the user to confirm if the “application software is packaged as an RPM” during the registration of the SUT when using the software certification test suite. Users will no longer be prompted. 2. A bug is now fixed that would impact the XML structure in software certification test results causing the RPM meta data to not be captured. 3. The Network test in hardware certification is updated to use iperf3 instead of lmbench in the TCP latency subtest in addition to the UDP subtest that was updated in 7.23. This improves the test reliability at higher network speeds. 4. A new field, “Firewall Status”, is added in the “Settings” page on the LTS. This field shows if the required network port(s) are opened or not. If the required port(s) are not opened, then a warning message displays and an “Open Ports” button appears. The open ports button will update the firewall rules on the LTS to allow access to the required ports. 5. The FV live migration test in the hardware certification test suite now automatically starts libvirt on the lab agent system if it is not already running. Previously libvirt would need to be started manually prior to running the test. 6. The Storage test now requires the nvme-cli package to improve identification of NVMe storage. The NVME test will now also verify that the device appears in the list of NVMe devices according to the nvme command and will fail if the device does not appear as an NVMe device. 7. The SSD test uses lsblk to capture additional block parameters of the device during the test. We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact Ecosystem Partner Management. Regards, The Red Hat Certification Team
