Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat Certification 8.63 and associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for new Red Hat certification submissions for the RHEL 8 and 9 family of products. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ The Red Hat Certification management interface on Red Hat Partner Connect, which is available at https://rhcert.connect.redhat.com, has been updated to use these packages. This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: Improvements Program Details Red Hat Products affected Hardware Certification memory_HBM_flat test is now planned correctly - The memory_HBM_flat test was encountering a bug which prevented the test from planning. The bug is now fixed. RHEL 8 & above Hardware & Cloud Instance Certification The device naming subtest now returns a FAIL status - The device naming subtest will now return a FAIL status if a network interface is not managed by the Network Manager (NM-managed). The test will exclude the lo: and other loopback devices from this requirement. - The subtest will also prompt to provide a reason in cases if a network interface is not NM-Managed. RHEL 8 & above Hardware Certification The battery test is updated to pass on low power systems - The wait time in the battery test was not long enough to discharge 10mWh. In a reasonable time with low power consumption systems. The test is now improved to monitor changes between any two states and increase the load on the system to drain the battery more when checking the charging status. RHEL-8 and Above Hardware Certification Moved all hardware preview tests out of the preview package - All the active hardware preview tests like evdevswitches, touchpad, and trackpoint tests are now moved out of the preview package and into the mainline redhat-certification package The preview tests are marked with a preview label internally and will not be planned by default. These tests can be planned manually with --preview flag with the rhcert-cli command. RHEL 8 and above We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us through the Red Hat Partner Acceleration Desk <https://connect.redhat.com/support/technology-partner/>.
