Greetings Red Hat Partners, The Network Adapter Support table <https://access.redhat.com/articles/3538141#network-adapter-support-3> in the Network Adapter Fast Datapath Feature Support Matrix Knowledge Base <https://access.redhat.com/articles/3538141> <https://access.redhat.com/articles/3538141#network-adapter-support-3>will be migrated to the Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog <https://catalog.redhat.com/> / Certified Hardware <https://catalog.redhat.com/hardware>/Components <https://catalog.redhat.com/hardware/search?type=Component%7CCPU%20Collection%7CNetwork%20Adapter%20Collection> space during Q3 CY’23. The information contained in the knowledge base will be more accessible and searchable for customers as well as enable Fast Datapath (FDP)
features display and linking for our partners in their certifications. This change will see the network adapters that are currently listed in the Network Adapter Support table added to the Ecosystem Catalog as networking components. The FDP features (SR-IOV, OVS, DPDK, OVS-Offload, and OVS-DPDK) will also be listed as certified in the granularity section with the conversion from the FDP number.letter version to the appropriate RHEL major.minor version. The FDP version will not appear in the catalog. The knowledgebase will then be updated to provide a search query within the Ecosystem Catalog for customers to follow for the information they are receiving today on the knowledge base. Customers will also be able to search the Ecosystem Catalog directly for FDP features, as they do today for other networking features. Partners are encouraged to continue to conduct their network component certifications as well as the joint FDP testing with the Red Hat Networking team as is done today. New FDP achievements after this change will require a RHEL component certification to associate the FDP features. This change is necessary to enable the customer’s experiences above and as such Red Hat will stop adding new network cards and FDP features to the knowledge base. If you are already certifying your network components and conducting FDP testing with the Red Hat networking team, you should notice no changes beyond the experience benefits for our joint customers. If you are conducting FDP testing but had not previously completed the network component certification, this should be easily achievable but will block future FDP listings. We value your ongoing participation in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Certification efforts and thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact the Red Hat Certification Operation Team through the Red Hat Partner Acceleration Desk, in your certification, or directly at [email protected]. Regards, The Red Hat Certification Team
