So I have been really learning a lot on my RM1x lately. I think the break I
took did me some good. I wasn't so overwhelmed this time around. I also
think the list has helped a lot. Thanks.

I am trying to make a bass sound like the one in the linked mp3 (it's only
15seconds). I have an AN1x synth as well, and while I don't think any of
the pre-programmed voices sound the same as the clip's bass, I'm sure one
can be created that would sound like it, or there may even be one out on the
net that I haven't heard that is similar.... I was trying to do it on the
RM1x. While it doesn't sound like any of the "bass" sounds on the RM1x, it
does sound a bit like a really tweaked "Vibes 2", I think that what its
call. It's in the Band Instrument section. It's a bit bouncy sounding
(xylophone-type) like the bass on this clip, but just not as deep. I tried
playing with filters and such, but can't seem to duplicate it - or even come
that close.

If you could listen to the clip and let me know what I might try on the RM1x
to duplicate the sound, that'd be greatly appreciated. Or what I might try
to get a similar feel. Just the sound, not the melody - although it's quite
catchy. :)

Just save bass.zip as bass.mp3 to play (no need to unzip, the sever just
doesn't allow .mp3 extensions)

The clip is from Mount Rushmore presents The Knack - You Better (Radio Edit)

Thanks,
