OT: best soundcard on laptop

Any opinions?  I'm thinking about slaving Rebirth to my Rm1x and want the
sound to be as crisp as possible.  A friend came over the other night to
watch a movie on DVD and the sound had an annoying high frequency that
made my skin crawl.  So I'd like to get something that doesn't sound like
that ;)
