firewire will be available for the new samplers as an expansion board.
this same board will fit into any existing a3000 with v2.0 OS.
so there's no real difference between the a3000 and the a4000, except for
the bigger screen (same as in the rm1x and 01v), and ease of use, of course.
i've owned my a3000 for more than two years (grabbed one of the first ones
hitting the peninsula where i live), and i could use even if i was blind.
so, if you have an a3000 and you're happy with it, don't let them tempt you
to buy a new sampler.
ah, another cool thing the new samplers have is flash-upgradeability, so no
more buying chips and swapping them. just grab a midi file and play it. this
will mean more upgrades and more frequently done.

anyway, this thread is moving way off topic, so we could move to the
music-bar or to the a3k-list.
