MY SOLUTION-was ye olde proboblem

  OK,here's how to have a track with the same notes,but a different 
voice for each section:
  Copy phrase,insert copy in patch mode.
  Go to Edit submode (page 99 of manual) and insert a program 
change as the first event.
   Voila!

I've tried this with a simple one voice pattern with 4 sections,and it 
seemed to work pretty smooth.(I wonder if you hit it with A LOT of 
midi all at once if it would hiccup a little?)

OK,now y'all can tell me that this was obvious all along   ;-}
