in the qy700, you would have to put a rest in the measures where you don't
want the phrase to play, i think it would be the same with the RM1X too.

I hope you RM1X guru's can put me on the right track with this question.
I am creating a pattern which is 8 measures. If I want to bring in a preset
phrase (which is 2 measures) say for example a drum roll.
How do I bring this in so that it only plays the 2 measures without
auto-looping, so that I don't get the drum roll looping continuosly throuout
the 8 measures.
