Well...

I just bought me a SU700, and i find it VERY easy to make the speak toghether. Just 
set them both on mtc here and there, sample somthing on the su700, put it at a 
midi-channel and then do the same thing with the rm1x, and i'm off controlling it with 
the rm1x. 

'course, if your problems is hookin' em up together, the read them manuals. There it 
says. Besides, the rm1x manual explains how to hook a rm1x to that synth you talked 
'bout. 

As far as me and my freinds have experiences, yamaha gear seems to work most perfectly 
together.
