As I've mentioned before, I had success in opening my rm1x and cleaning
the buttons with contact cleaner (I used ElectroWash).

But remember DON'T TRY TO CLEAN THE KNOBS! Unless you use potentiometer
lubricant, you're just going to fuck them up.

p.s. don't take apart the lcd display unit. you'll scratch it.
