I use Step and the Live input modes (overdub and replace) only. I've used
grid to check it out, but it just doesn't do it for me, which is strange
because the first music programming stuff I ever did was in grid mode (a
roland box and rebirth). Maybe it's just that the rm1x's grid mode is
subpar. No big deal really, as step mode is good enough.
