Me (Jurgen Blok) too. I've been on this list a while ago asking all
kinds of questions about the QY700. I've been meaning to by one for al
long time, but I always held back because I didn't know if it would
"fit" me. Knowing how windows "fits" me and the average person I took
the jump a bought one. Man, I'm happy.

Part of that happiness may come from the fact that 2 weeks later I
bought a second hand Ensoniq Mr. Rack *with* the World and drum
expansion board for 700 dollars. But okay ;-)

You certainly have to figure out your way around it. But soon you'll
be able to find all the buttons with your eyes closed.

Oh, could someone tell me why a great feature like the job-shortcuts
isn't mentioned in the manual? (For those of you with a QY700 who
don't know what I'm talking about: press the job button, put the
cursor over a job and press shift and one of the buttons F1~F6. The
number above this button changes to the job-number you are currently
highlighting with the cursor. You can define 6 job-shortcuts this way.
(actually 12: 6 for song mode and 6 for pattern mode))

I haven't been able to find anything usefull between them. I haven't
checked them all out yet (3800!), but I usually get results sooner by
programming phrases myself.

I start all sequencing in pattern-mode (for that instant loop feel)
and fill the user phrases till I'm happy with what I've got. After
that I copy them to song mode and arrange the whole deal.
