The first time I ordered from them I bought a Nord Lead 2 and that went
smooth, although it took two days for them to ship it instead of the 24
hours they claimed. The second time I placed an order was for two effects
boxes and both items were said to be "In stock and ready to ship" according
to the page description for each item. I even paid the additional amount
for overnight shipping. Two days later I sent an email (no phone number
exists) asking about my order and they said the items were not in stock.
The worst part was they charged my credit card for BOTH items even though
they were back ordered! It's illegal to charge a credit card if you don't
ship the product within 48 hours. The fault here is that both items' web
pages said the products were in stock and ready to ship, to the billing
department went ahead and charged my card $760, only to find out that BOTH
products are on back order. The only way zzounds found out about this
mishap is because I ordered these for overnight delivery and nver got
anything, so I pursued them. Eventually I talked to one of the "main guys"
on the phone and he apologized and later canceled the order and credited my
card back, but the whole thing was a huge mess and took about a week to
straighten out. I won't order from them anymore. He said their inventory
system on the item pages are not real time, they have to be updated
manually. I suppose sometimes they fall down on the job. Others have told
me there are only two guys running the whole Internet part of the business.
They supposedly received a huge pile of money from Paul Allen (Microsoft) as
an investment and slammed the prices way down, now they are trying to keep
up with demand for product. It all seems good until you get screwed and
then try to contact somebody! The first email I sent took two days for a
reply, not the "24 hours maximum response time" they claim.
