If I'm understanding your question right...
Go to the setup button, hit it 3 times (I think) so you get to a window that
says TG and MIDI channel. THis is where you setup where your instructions go
when you hit a note on the RM1X. TG stands for Tone Generator. This is the
internal synth in the RM1X. If you want to trigger the MPC samples on
channel 1, turn the tone generator off. You can play the RM1X without
hearing the internal sounds from that channel. Does that solve the prob?
