Hello all,

I recently had to send my Hx4700 off to HP for a repair. I had trouble
getting the wireless device working on 2.6.15-hh2 with the SDG Systems
bootloader (1.2.4): it had worked okay since 2.6.15-hh1, but on
upgrading to 2.6.15-hh2 via 'ipkg upgrade', it never worked again, and
it seemed that some permanent change had occurred to the wireless
firmware as it did not work after I flashed the hx4700 back to PocketPC
2003.

Symptoms of the crash - after flashing back to Windows:

1. Device seems sluggish, as if it's doing something in the background.
2. Touchscreen is unresponsive and often misses 'clicks'.
3. Device hangs when the wireless is activated.

HP replaced the motherboard and charged me £200. Although I was very
glad to get a working unit again, I'm reluctant to try Hx4700 Linux
until I am sure that this problem has been identified and fixed.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen?

Lex.
