Yes, and I have done so.  Sound doesn't work with Ramdisk Rescue - I
gather this is being worked on.  That's a small price to pay for the
convenience of a dual-booting system.  Internal wireless (acx) works
okay.

It's not a problem.  I used a 512MB SD card, formatted with a DOS
partition (type 6 - Win95 FAT16, in fdisk) and I chose the 'resize
partition/install Linux' option in Ramdisk Rescue.  While I was doing
that I had a look at the HaRET boot config and it's very neat stuff.
