This all means that our righteousness was imputed to us from Christ's work,
when we believe.
These are the passages that God used to convert Martin Luther the reformer. He
wants us to focus on the "who" and the "what".
The problem of ingratitude! How can you explain the contrast from Adam's
offense is to Christ's free gift? He drove nails as He worked with His earthly
father. That is who Christ is, and what His will is the "what". Why should we
shut our mouths and renounce our pride and arrogance? What is that knowledge to
you?
All we do is isolate ourselves into a sub-culture when God calls us to be salt
and light.
One results in Christian character, the other produces strife. When Adam fell,
the Spirit left him immediately, not gradually! Then we need to learn to keep
our mouth shut!
The Law is still upheld.
The importance is why we are being baptized and what it represents not how or
even who for the most part we baptize.
How does it make you feel that Christ entered the world to pay your price of
punishment when He did not have to or deserve it?
Christ's atonement in no way was or is restrictive, or has a limited value, or
only powerful enough for just a few people.
Since it had nothing to do with us, we have no reason to be prideful of
anything, either by our accomplishments or our salvation.
There will be no truth and everything is relative.
What do you see as the long-term consequences for your actions? We need not be
frustrated when we have Christ.
Thus the offence of striking the rock was bad enough for him to be excluded
from entering the promised land. Nevertheless history clearly states this was a
wide problem. If you sinned and you are saved, then you received some kind of a
miracle.
Such as a saying or slogan, or perhaps a philosophy?
Christ's atonement in no way was or is restrictive, or has a limited value, or
only powerful enough for just a few people. Do not exchange the truth for a
lie. Our only hope is in the Person and Work of our Lord.
Paul was accused that he was promoting sin, because he was teaching a Gospel by
faith and leaving out works, thus no accountability. Faith excludes all other
means of obtaining righteousness.
This is what Christmas is all about.
Our service must not be guided by our desires or our needs.
Paul addressed them by showing in the OT the promise was by faith and not of
works. Christ needed to be isolated from the original sin so it would not
affect Him, so He could do what Adam could not do which was to remain sinless.
Ingratitude is a common entity in our society and even the church.
Therein lies the value and importance of his writing. This pardon is from the
penalty of death through sin, and there is nothing we could ever do to earn
this pardon.
