IIRC, the proprietary nvidia driver makes it difficult to switch back
to intel and still get any kind of 3D acceleration.  I would probably
try something with init scripts to put the right xorg.conf in place
and get the right set of modules loaded based on grabbing options out
of /proc/cmdline.  I'm sure others would be interested if you came up
with a script.  Thanks,
