Hi Gianvito,

I am not really an expert in the subject of hybrid-graphics , But for the test I would try to start your laptop in maintenance mode; single user mode, a minimum of device-driver loaded, and the most important thing: no video-driver loaded.

If this brought no change, I would try to analyze and change the parameters of the acpi_call(s).

Good luck!

Tom

Hi all, I tried to turn off my nvidia card (a GT540m) on my Asus K53SV
(it should be almost the same as N53SV). All went good.

It said "works" at PCI0.PEGR.GFX0. I checked the battery status and it
went from 2 hours to 4 hours (very good) but .... my notebook fan
automatically started working at the max speed (very noisy!). It's
really very strange...

Any solution?

Thank you
