I would get that on my Lenovo W520 if I run with the BIOS setting set to
NVIDIA on openSuSE (so no bumblebee or other "switching" packages
installed).

My work around (since I'm not that dependent on the graphics performance
most days) is to have the BIOS hard-set to the Intel card.
