Hi, As mentioned, I am sending you the infos you asked for :
This is a recent purchase a DELL XPS 15 L502X (Salesman claimed it has Optimus DIsabled even though it's a hybrid system). It is a i7 2670QM (Intel Graphics HD 3000 integrated) with a discrete Nvidia GT 525M. The fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 allows me to use the miniDisplay Port to output display to a 1920X1080p Monitor without problem, but not the HDMI. I can also use Unity 3D. I did not install the legacy (restricted) drivers of Nvidia. *hanine@L502X:~$ sudo dmidecode -s system-product-name && sudo dmidecode -s system-version [sudo] password for hanine: Dell System XPS L502X Not Specified hanine@L502X:~$ lspci -vnnn | perl -lne 'print if /^\d+\:.+(\[\S+\:\S+\])/' | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0116] (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: nVidia Corporation Device [10de:0df5] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])* Thanks Hanine
