I'm waiting for https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/931397 to be fixed. Bumblebee works with 3.0 (tested it on a Live USB running a daily Precise image), but it required modifying the AutoAddDevices setting (which possibly slows down starting the X server) or installing xorg-edgers/ppa. Meanwhile, there is no precise package in bumblebee/stable, but you can use bumblebee/testing (which contains packages copied from Oneiric).
