Greetings,

Am I the only one to struggle with managing patterns?

1. Whenever I want more patterns, I have to click "+" then type in a
name, then click OK. If I want 10 more patterns, I have to do it 10
times. This nearly drives me crazy, because and idea should be
immediately translated into something real while it's still in my
head. Is it possible to simply automatically append +1 to a figure in
the name of a new pattern, so that one would click "+" and have his
new shiny pattern there in the song editor? I mean, c'mon, do you
always grant a pattern with a meaningful name upon creating it? :)

2. Moving multiply patterns up/down is impossible. If I created a nice
rhythmic sequence of, say, 4 patterns, and I want to put another one
between this one and the previous one, I have to pick the 1st pattern
and click "V" 4 times, then the 2nd pattern... etc. I think this was
already discussed, so maybe it's time to raise this question again ;)

3. Clicking "V" or "^" is not that great. Dragging seems to be
preferable. Autoscrolling up/down should be beared in mind, though.

4. It would be nice to introduce some way to add a new pattern either
as the next/previous one to the currently selected pattern or as the
last one in song editor. In the same situation as above (p.2) I will
have to create 4 pattern and then move them all one by one from bottom
to the middle or even to the top.

Comments, ideas, curses? :)

Artemio, should I come up with a full requirements specification on
song editor functionality instead? :)

Alexandre
