I'm not comix (:P), but I did play around in the tinyxml code a few months ago. It looks to me like it's embedded because it's small and because it's a fairly obscure library. For example, tinyxml does not currently appear in any of the Debian repositories (and I think Comix uses Debian). It's likely that none of the other distros had tinyxml either when H2 was first shipped. I prefer to keep it embedded ATM. This is in part because TinyXML (as a library) has moved on, and may introduce new "issues" for us. If we do anything, I think it should be after 0.9.4, since this is a feature request and not a bug. I would be OK with _optionally_ embedding tinyxml or using the shared library. However, Orcan's patch (as-is) would force us to always use the shared library. -gabriel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword _______________________________________________ Hydrogen-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hydrogen-devel
