I'm not comix (:P), but I did play around in the tinyxml code a few months ago. 
  It looks to me like it's embedded because it's small and because it's a 
fairly 
obscure library.  For example, tinyxml does not currently appear in any of the 
Debian repositories (and I think Comix uses Debian).  It's likely that none of 
the other distros had tinyxml either when H2 was first shipped.

I prefer to keep it embedded ATM.  This is in part because TinyXML (as a 
library) has moved on, and may introduce new "issues" for us.  If we do 
anything, I think it should be after 0.9.4, since this is a feature request and 
not a bug.

I would be OK with _optionally_ embedding tinyxml or using the shared library. 
However, Orcan's patch (as-is) would force us to always use the shared library.
