Yes, but apparently not always.

Case 1:
cannot read server event (Connection reset by peer)
zombified - calling shutdown handler

Qjackctl log says:
17:05:11.606 XRUN callback (1).
subgraph starting at qjackctl timed out (subgraph_wait_fd=22, status =
0, state = Running, pollret = 0 revents = 0x0) bad status (1) for
client Hydrogen-05 handling event (type = 8) **** alsa_pcm: xrun of at
least 0.174 msecs

Case 2:
It started without zombification but h2 refuses to play back the song
(just doesn't do anything besides saying: playing). Then after
restarting the engine it really plays.

Qjackctl log says:
subgraph starting at qjackctl timed out (subgraph_wait_fd=22, status =
0, state = Running, pollret = 0 revents = 0x0)

Case 3:
No zombification and it works. (and that at /usr/bin/jackd -R -dalsa
-dhw:UA25 -r48000 -p64 -n3 -Xseq :))

On a possibly related note:
When I quit hydrogen while it's playing back I often hear a brief
'beep', and when I start it again the 'beep' continues briefly
(independent of case 1,2,3).
This appears odd to me and could be a hint to some issue.

I hope this helps,
Best regards,
Philipp
