Hi, Hydrogen 0.9.4 is now running on windows ( recently wolke got portaudio working ) and OSX. We're using qmake for both because it turned out to be the easiest solution, it works just out of the box ( and it comes with QT). The osx build should be available soon as a dmg.
At the moment both windows and OSX builds are based on the win_ports branch, so i would like to rename the branch to "qmake" or something similar. It feels uncomfortable for me to create and maintain a new branch just for this purpose (hold some qmake files), but i suppose its better then merging it to trunk. I suppose some people will be confused when there is qmake besides scons (on linux).
